I can’t look into your eyes, and not wonder….

Are you loved?

Are you safe?

How was School?

Do you play sports?

What’s your favorite television show?

Does someone help you with your homework when you get home?

What adults surround you? Influence you?

Are they there for your benefit or do they stunt your growth?

Do they tell you how special you are?

Do they tell you how beautiful you are?

Do they tell you how much the sun loves you?

Loves you so much it had to kiss you a little bit longer.

Ohh Black child

You are loved

Someone is rooting for you!

I’m rooting for you!

I see you Black Child!

I see you! You are not invisible.

You exist. You are important!

You deserve it. Don’t doubt it!

You are deserving of it all!

And you will have it ALL!
